Embellishing the walls of the Mobridge Scherr-Howe Event Center are ten authentic Sioux Indian murals. The five on the South wall represent “Ceremonies of the Sioux” and the five on the North wall depict “History Along the Missouri”. These notable murals are the work of Oscar Howe, a native South Dakotan and a full-blooded Sioux Indian. Mr. Howe received numerous awards for his artwork.
