Oscar Howe's widow dies in Indiana

As Oscar Howe gained increasing fame as an artist (including the murals at Mobridge's Scherr Howe Arena), his wife Heidi was the spark plug that ignited his career. She not only managed family matters providing him time to make art, she was his business manager and studio assistant. Her organizational skills and her industry were impressive to all who knew the couple.
 
Gofren wins South Dakota Walleye Classic

William Sitting Bull joins the SBMF

With the establishment the Sitting Bull Monument Foundation in 2005, partners Bryan Defender and Rhett Albers, had the knowledge of what needed to be done at the gravesite of Sitting Bull on the Standing Rock Reservation, but not the artist's vision of the future. Now with the addition of the great Lakota leader's great-great grandson William Sitting Bull, they have all they need to make a renewed vision of the future a reality.

Accepting non-infectious medical waste from a North Dakota facility was a proposal presented to the Walworth County Commission Tuesday, March 18, but the board took no action on the request. Tim Cox, of Northland Healthcare Alliance requested the commission consider the proposal to accept non-infectious material from an autoclave in Linton, N.D.
